All Kumon Supervisors must have a strong desire to work with children and to help them develop their learning. Our Kumon students are our most important asset, and hence we must ensure that all supervisors genuinely have an ambition to see children grow and develop.
The minimum qualification we expect from our supervisors is to hold an undergraduate degree. However, your degree does not need to be in education. We have successful supervisors from backgrounds such as teaching, medicine, science, psychology, law, engineering, accounting and business.All of our supervisors must demonstrate proficiency in both mathematics and English. This is to ensure they are able to provide sound instructional guidance to students and implement the Kumon programme with confidence.
Kumon Supervisors own and operate their own small business. Therefore, when reviewing candidates, we consider competencies such as organisational skills, strong communication skills, business acumen, interpersonal skills, flexibility, self management and customer orientation.
Finally, we expect our supervisors to value learning and education. To successfully provide instruction to children and manage a Kumon Education Centre, you must always seek to improve your own knowledge and understanding.
